Pieceful Prairie Quilt Pattern

Pieceful Prairie is designed to use Sweet Sixteen packs of fabric. A Sweet Sixteen is a piece of fabric 9" x 11". Fabric requirements are also included for Fat Quarters and Fat Eighths. The designer, Joanie Weiser, was inspired by an antique quilt.

The quilt can be made with simple borders sewn straight to sides, top and bottom or with mitered borders. The optional mitered border instructions are very detailed and include how to use Border Prints. While mitering is a little more complicated than straight borders, the effect (especially with Border Prints) can be stunning. If you have not done mitered borders before, this pattern will be good for you as it walks you through the process in a step by step manner.

The sample quilt uses the Full Sun fabric from Maywood Studios. The Full Sun line is available as a Sweet Sixteen package or as yardage.
